Translation of "Spanishness" into Basque

For me, as a child, the worst was always tied to Spanishness. It was the Spanish police we saw every weekend at demonstrations, whether at the one to stop the Itoiz dam or the one in favor of making Basque the official language throughout Upper Navarre.
