Translation of "malediction" into Persian

Although there's a theory it's something more along the lines of a malediction:

اگرچه يه تئوري هم هست که ميگه بيشتر به لعنت اونو نسبت دادن

renewed their maledictions upon the books of chivalry

لعن و نفرینهای خود را به کتابهای پهلوانی تکرار کردند
