(Ar. fesād “bozulmak, mahvolmak”tan fāsid) 1. Fesâda uğramış, bozulmuş, bozuk, kötü. “Bey’-i fâsid: Doğru olmayan, eksik veya hîleli satış.” Hayâli ise bu devr-i fâsit içinde hayran hayran dolaşıp dururdu (Nâmık Kemal). 2. İyi bir işi bozan, fesatçı, ara bozucu, müfsit: Ey beni ayıplayan gel beni aşktan kurtar / Elinden gelmez ise söyleme fâsit haber (Yûnus Emre).
